Some people share their thoughts and opinions in an attempt to convince others to think they way they do. Many leaders think they need others to think as they do to be good leaders. That is dangerous. Remember the concept of "group think." Too many people simply follow talking heads, rather than cultivating their unique mindfulness.
I prefer to share my thoughts, opinions and observations in the attempt to illuminate how others think for themselves, independently.
When a person shares, it presents the opportunity for others' self-reflection.
