Yes. They are as grand as no picture can capture.

Life is not about the breaths you take, but about what takes your breath away....

~~Gone Fishing~~

Went fishing today and discovered the reason it is not called "went catching."

Maybe this will be a better fishing spot?

Wanting to learn how to fish... Went to the store and got a training kit. :-)

Got worms, too.... Oh, and those gloves? They are my worming gloves! :D

Look UP!

Often, you can run into the most interesting situations when you take the "wrong" road. While taking the wrong road, we came upon a couple of people standing in the road, looking UP!

Of course, grab the camera and park the Jeep! I don't see anything...and what is that noise?  Look UP!
Whoa!!  This enormous beast was just sitting on his butt on a branch only 10 feet above our heads.  (See his hind paws?)

Oh...and then some idiot parents let their little girl come over with a smelly bag of fresh popcorn.  Really?!  REALLY?!

Look UP!

~~The Monarch~~

The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park hosts not only and deep, rich history of politicos, celebrities and people just like us.

It also has been the host to several movies, including "The Shining" and one of my all time favs, "Dumb and Dumber."

In addition, if visitors get lucky enough, they can actually witness the remarkable metamorphosis of the majestic monarch butterfly.

Here...the cocoon...the breaking free...and the final stage.

~~Traveling Buddies~~

You know that there is a "cultish" (in a good way) activity of people posting "Traveling Gnome Photos." (Google it...)

Here is my version of the Traveling Gnome.... Traveling Bears.

Hear, Say and See...NO EVIL!

~~Wildlife in Colorado~

Blogging on the road is more challenging than I thought it would be, as connectivity has been less than consistent.

The wildlife photo opportunities could be a good way, of course!  Today, however, I captured a different kind of Colorado wildlife...wildflowers.  Enjoy!
