~~R.I.P., Seabiscuit~~

Ridgewood Ranch, situated in rural Mendocino County, CA, is best known for being the final resting place of the racehorse Seabiscuit.

Seabiscuit (1933-1947) was a champion Thoroughbred in the US.  A small horse, Seabiscuit became an unlikely champion and symbol of hope during the Great Depression. He was named for his father, as "Hardtack" or "Sea Biscuit," a name for a hard cracker eaten by sailors.
